New Features Added in Version 3.5:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A new "Event Recorder" will allow you to actually record
and playback mouse movements, clicks and keystrokes,
enabling you to build macros quicker and
easier than ever!
An improved Macro Builder interface provides you with
iconic representation of your macro steps and more
"English" terms for easier interpretation.
A new Insert Button in the Macro Builder allows
you to insert lines at any point in the macro without
using the old arrow buttons for positioning.
New Features Added in Version 3.2:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AutoMate is now fully Internet automated. Two new
macro commands under miscellaneous allow you to
automatically dial and disconnect from your Internet
connection. (No more hassling with your DUN folder!)
AutoMate now allows you to insert macro data from
any existing procedure, simply right click on the macro
list in the Macro Builder and select "Insert Existing Macro"
AutoMate now enables you to easily duplicate or "Clone"
your existing tasks for fast re-creation of similar tasks.
Simply select the task you would like to duplicate and then
from the "Tasks" menu, select "Clone".
Four new scripting commands make BASIC in AutoMate a
pleasure to use:
1. LaunchProc: Launches an AutoMate procedure from
within a script.
2. ExitProc: Exits an AutoMate procedure from within
a script.
3. ConnectTo: Connects to your internet service provider
automatically.
4. HangUp: Disconnects from an internet connection.
For more info on these commands, see the "Scripting Additions"
document.
New feature added in version 3.0c:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Command line arguments are now accepted for
manual launching of tasks. To manually launch
a task from the command prompt, simply specify
name of the procedure (or reminder) after the
path and filename of automate.exe.
For example...
=======================================================
"c:\program files\unisyn\automate.exe" sample procedure
=======================================================
(Quotes are needed only around the path and filename to
AutoMate, the name of the procedure should not have
quotes around it.)
...would start AutoMate, launch the Sample Procedure
that is included, and then terminate AutoMate. The
name of the task should not be case sensitive. There
are many useful functions that are possible with this
new feature:
1. Create shortcuts to AutoMated Tasks on your Desktop
and then just double-click whenever you need them to
execute.
2. Create shortcuts to AutoMated Tasks and place them
in your StartUp Group for AutoMated "StartUp Tasks".
3. More knowledgeable users and consultants can now set
up shortcuts to AutoMated tasks for less knowledgeable
users to conveniently run.
=================================
Note that Unisyn can not provide support for the
included scripting engine with regards to programming,
syntax, structure, and debugging issues.
For help with Scripting issues, see the Scripting
Reference Manual, the scripting additions document,
or press F1 at the Script Builder Dialog. Help in the
Scripting Editor is very similar to most professional
development tool in that you can highlight a word in
you code and hit F1 to see context sensitive help.
